Anyone working in the ‘Health and Social Care’ industry.

 

Course Aims        

The course will cover:

• Legislation relating to Manual Handling

• Musculo-Skeletal injuries/disorders

• The purpose and use of risk assessments

• Safe techniques & practice using a variety of equipment

 

Course Objectives 

By attending this course learners will be provided with the most current information relating to Manual Handling. Learners will be able to practice their skills and more importantly implement them in the workplace, to maintain safety of themselves and others. This course meets the All Wales Induction Framework.

Learners will undergo formative assessments throughout the course, along with practical based work and a short multiple-choice assessment.

 

Course Duration 

This course is delivered over ‘Two days’ (14 hours) or ‘One day’ (7 hours) refresher.  Delegates who successfully complete the course are awarded the ‘All Wales Manual Handling Passport’ Certificate of attendance with recommendations that annual updates are also attended.
